Working from home is a reality at least for now possibly more common forever. Here I share with you the 3 keys to maximise your productivity while you are working from home.
1.Have a Great Start
Most people are used to the routine of going to work and right now they haven’t got one. Its important you create a similar routine while working from home. Get a routine for getting up, getting dressed for work, not joggers or shorts!
Other things to keep you at your peak are keeping hydrated, meditation, a Gratitude log and Plan.
Keep a gratitude log to focus on the wins and positives that are happening, your brain will see more of what you focus on, remind your self of the good things and you’ll notice more of them.
Plan – at the end of each day hand write a todo list for the following day and prioritise it. Set out what you want to achieve.
2.Focus
Once you get going try having sustained periods of focus on a specific task. Multitasking is a myth. Our brains can only focus on one thing at a time and do it well. The main one of the 3 keys to working from home is Focus. Turn off all notifications and Focus on this task for 1-2 hours. Make these high value tasks, those which will have the biggest impact.
3.Reset
At the end of each focus session take a break. Get up and stretch. Make a cuppa, go outside and see the sun or play with the kids.
